New Delhi, Jan 8 (Odisha.in) The National Bank of Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) has sanctioned Rural Infrastructure Development Fund loan of Rs.2 billion (Rs.24233.56 lakh) for the construction of as many as 14 bridge projects in Odisha, official sources said.
The bridges will be built under Biju Setu Yojana, one of the flagship programmes of the state launched on 9th Oct. 2011 for construction of new bridges on rural roads to provide all-weather connectivity to the rural areas of the State.
The Project monitoring committee at the NABARD accorded in-principle approval sanction on Jan 4, the Rural Development department said in a Facebook post.
Total Financial Outlay (TFO) of the projects stands at around three billion. The state government contribution for the projects is Rs.804 millions.
