Bhubaneswar, September .23 (Odisha.in) Metrological Department’s Cyclone Warning Center at Bhubaneswar has foretasted about likelihood of heavy to very heavy rain to occur at a few places with extremely heavy fall of more than 25 cm at isolated places all over Orissa.
Indicating about the morning’s depression over North West Bay and adjoining West Central Bay of Bengal, which lay centered at 17.30 hours IST of September 22, close to Puri, it said that the depression would cross the east coast near Puri.
The system is likely to move in a North Westerly direction resulting in rain and thundershower in most of places in Orissa.
Squally wind from North-Easterly direction with speed reaching 45-55 km per hour gusting to 65 km per hour likely to prevail along and off Orissa coast.
Local cautionary signal No. three has been kept hoisted at all ports in Orissa . As the sea condition is expected to be rough to very rough, fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea.
