Bhubaneswar, September 12 (Odisha.in) Fear of a tsunami as a result of a massive quake Wednesday in the Indian Ocean in Indonesia has prompted Orissa to alerts collectors of its six coastal districts to remain alert.
The collectors of all coastal districts have been instructed to move people living near the coast to two kilometers away from the sea as the 7.9-magnitude quake in Sumatra Island may cause tsunami, Orissa State Disaster Mitigation Authority (OSDMA) official Abhaya Naik said.
