Kalinga Nagar, August 19 (Odisha.in) All sections of employees of the joint-sector steel plant’ Neelachal Ispat Nigam (NINL) at Kalinga Nagar in Jajpur district have demanded for immediate merger of NINL with the Steel Authority of India (SAIL) for greater interest of the industrial units as well as its employees and the country as a whole.
NINL is a joint sector of MMTC, IPICOL and some other public sectors.
Though the merger of NINL with SAIL was at a final stage, the employees alleged that some vested interests were trying to stall the merger.
The employees and organisations of NINL have joined hands to press upon the Government to expedite the mover for merger of NINL with SAIL without further delay.
Neelachal Executive Association (NEA), the officers’ organization of NINL has sent missive to the Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik requesting him to take immediate steps for the merger of the NINL with SAIL.
Kalinga Nagar Majdoor Union (KNMU) has also appealed to Naveen Patnaik to fulfill the dream of his legendary father Biju Patnaik. The Kalinga Nagar Sramika Sangh has also joined over the issue.
