Jagatsinghpur, August 18 (odisha.in) At least one child died of watery diarrhoea while several others were ailing from the disease in a village in Jagasinghapur district since seven days.
This disease has taken the live at Gaudasahi village and the situation has become worse due to scarcity of medicines.
One doctor has expressed his concern that this village is one of villages, which was waterlogged for the last ten to twelve days, compelling people to drink water from ponds and canals one of the major causes of spreading diarrhea.
Because of non-availability of life saving medicines and ORS powders, the situation had detoriated further.
Chief District Medical Officer Mr S. Sethy has expressed that a medical team has sent to affected areas and has provided medicines and ORS powder to them.
