Puri, August 11 (Odisha.in) Chief Minister Naveen Pattnaik has gave assurance to Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik for giving him a piece of land to set up World’s first sand art park on golden beach of Puri, Orissa.
After receiving the Public prize at Germany artist Sudarsan came back to his home land and met chief minister Friday.
I will create a sand art park to attract tourist and where people will see a lot of sand sculptures every day said Pattnaik. Chief Minister also congratulated him for his successes.
The sand artist’s creation of 15th ft Sand Taj Mahal at 5th International sand sculpture championship/ Festival is Germany chosen by public vote.
He has so far participated in more than 31 international sand sculpture championships across the world and won many awards.
His sand sculpture on Black Taj Mahal earned him accolades all over the world. Through his art he has helped the tsunami victims in India, save the endangered Olive Ridley Turtles and spread awareness of the dangers of HIV-AIDS and polio.
Pattnaik also running a sand art school named as Golden sand art Institute at Puri Beach in Orissa.
