Bhuabneswar, Dec 16 (Odisha.in ) Though  over three weeks have already passed  after the "mysterious" death of  Angul based young businessman  Avinash Patnaik (22), sofar the Mumbai police have not been able to solve the mystery of triple deaths inside  model Moon Das's (23 ) 9th floor apartment at New Link Garden in suburban Andheri's Yamuna Nagar.

Moreover, comment of the Oshiwara police only a few hours after inicident that Avinash had shot dead Moon's mother and uncle and finally killed himself, had created suspicion in the minds of his father and close associates who knew Avinash closely.

After seeing the body of Avinash , Bhupen Patnaik, who worked as a superintending engineer with WESCO in Sambalpur, said he had reasons to suspect the police version that Avinash killed two persons and committed suicide. "The bullet that killed Avinash was shot through his left temple whereas he was a right-hander," he said.

Advocate Babita Kar and Avinash's close friends A.B. Harichandan, Nalinikanta Baral and others also tolf Odisha.in that Avinash was not a left hander.

Reacting to Bhupen Patnaik's statement to the media, the investigating officer had said that the bullet was shot from right side of the temple and had gone out from the left side therefore the whole in the left side is larger.

But the photograph of the body of Avinash which is available with Odidha.com clearly shows that the bullet was fired at the left temple. Because the injury in his left temple was that of a bullet entering into it and not going out of it, which is clearly visible to the open eye.

According a balestic expert, when a person attacks  some body from behind, he would shoot at the right temple. But when a person would encounter from the front, he would shoot at the left temple. Looking closely at the photograph of Avinash's body, he opined that the killer had encountered him from the front.

Commenting on Avinash's shooting Moon's mother and uncle from point blank range, he said that only a " sharp shooter " can do like that.

One friend of Avinash told Odisha.in that during the fateful evening of December 22, at about 8.30 p.m. he had talked to Avinash over mobile. He was talking normally like, " kya kar raho ho yaer. Aaj kya daru pee rahe ho ? ..." and the like. "Can a tensed and upset person talk so normally ? " he asked.

Again he had rang up Avinash in his mobile at about 9.30 p.m. Somebody picked up the phone and immediately disconnected it." I was upset. Because under no circumstances Avinash can avoid to talk to me. On many occasions, while he was busy in important meetings, he use to pickup the phone and say that he is busy in a meeting and would call back after some time.

Therefore I suspect some body else had lifted his mobile. Then I rang up several times and initially there was no response, subsequently the mobile was switched off ."

In the meanwhile Moon called him ( Avinash's friend ) and informed that Avinash has already shot her uncle and mother and has locked the door from inside. He is wielding a gun. " Please ask him to open the door and come out ", she pleaded.

After getting such information when this friend rang up Avinash, the mobile continued to be switched off. Then he suspected something fowl and rang us his friend Pintu, who lives close to Moon's apartment and suggested him to go immediately and call Avinash in Oriya so that he can recognize  his voice and open the door. But when Pintu arrived there he found Moon with Ramesh Sharma and some police men. When the door was opened the bodies of all the three were laying

Bhupen Patnaik has already sent the F.I.R. to Ashiwora police station by Speed Post on 10th December, 2007, justifying his doubts that his son was murdered.

Bhupen alleged that his son was trapped for money and was murdered by Moon and her associates. He has that huge money has been vanished from the cash credit account of Avinash.

A.B. Harichandan, a close friend of Avinash informed Odisha.in that he was operating one Bank account with the ICICI and another with the S.B.I. His cash credit account was with the S.B.I. and so far the S.B.I. have not given detail accounts of the transaction.

Interestingly enough though Moon had performed at least once in the Mayfair hotel at Rourkela and twice in Mayfair Lagoon in Bhubaneswar, the hoteliers and the event managers claim that not a single footage of her performance is available with them, which seems to be mysterious.

However, a shattered  Bhupen Patnaik is hopeful of  getting justice  and  early unearth  of the mystery  behind his son's murder.
