Make Odisha.in as an interactive medium

Thu, 16 Aug 2007 22:13:00
Overall, the impression is heavy and serious newspaper like. One can hear sounds of moaning and complaining and forehead-thumping about the lot of poor Oriyas. There is no gush of blood, no playfulness of the teenage spirit, no sense of laughter.

1. First reaction: very well designed and laid out site.

2. The editorial approach is newspaper-like.

3, Why no photo with Panjika story?

4. The About Us page is blank.

Bring in a bright young girl, a disco loving girl as one of the editors. Get boy-meets-girl stories.

Like the picture Nuakhai festival in Bangalore on September 30. Make it an interactive medium. Invite people--ordinary people--to send in pieces and photos.

Again, get the young. Get some writers from overseas locations. There are quite a few oriya lecturers in Singapore universities.

BY NORMAL JOURNALISM STANDARDS, IT WOULD BE REGARDED AS A VERY GOOD EFFORT BY MOST PEOPLE.

BUT THERE ARE TOO MANY OF THIS TYPES AND CLONES LOOK DEADPAN. And collect no faithful readers.

Fri, 15 Feb 2008 22:28:28 : I am astonished to see news every day that criminals are operating freely from inside the jails. i do not understand why the govt, is not taking any steps against the jail officials who are helping the criminals. Will they take action when the criminals will enter in to the house of big govt officials. Only god will help this state.
