Balangir, September 14 (odisha.in): Balangir police on Friday nabbed two inter-state dreaded criminals wanted in several cases of robbery, murder and two-wheeler snatching since last eight years.

Sources said, Tene Thati and his associate Sitaram Rana were caught by a team of police official comprising town police IIC Nagendra Nayak and Sadar OIC R L Panda from Cuttack.

"Around 13 cases of robbery and motorcycle snatching are pending against the duo. Out of the two murder cases, the gang is involved in the killing of a police constable," a police official said odisha.in.

Last year this gang had killed a four-wheeler driver and took away a Bolero.  IIC Nayak said that this gang has a special skill of robbing of innocent people.

"They eye new motorcycle and after that they block the road by stretching the rope in the middle. If by chance the motorcyclist manages to escape from the spot, the gang blow on his head with a blunt weapon," he informed.

Balangir SP Himansu Lal said, "With the arrest of the criminals many pending cases, which were closed due to lack of evidence will be reopened now." He however added that the gang had spread its wings to West Bengal.
