Regional airline Air Odisha started its service between Odisha capital Bhubaneswar and Chhatisgarh capital Raipur on Friday (June 22).
Here is everything about Air Odisha’s new service:
1. The maiden flight took off from Biju Patnaik International Airport (BPIA) in Bhubaneswar at 6.10 am.
2. The flight landed at Raipur in 45 minutes at 6.55 am.
3. However the timings will be revised from Saturday (June 23).
4. The maiden flight was flagged off by BPIA director Suresh Chandra Hota with 9 passengers, 2 pilots and one cabin crew member on board.
5. The flights will be operative six days a week except Sunday.
6. The 18-seater plane will take off from Bhubaneswar at 6:10 am and land in Raipur around 7.40 am.
7. The return flight from Raipur will take off at 12.15 pm, which will reach Bhubaneswar at about 1.40 pm.
8. Fare for each passenger will be Rs 4500.
9. BPIA Director Suresh Chandra Hota said there was no air connectivity between the two capital cities. Now with the new service will help the cities grow with better communication. ‘The travel time between the two cities is now only 90 minutes,” he said.
10. The service will be extended to Odisha’s Jharsuguda and Chhatisgarh’s Rourkela in coming days.
