Bhubaneswar, Jan 11 (Odisha.in) The main government bus stand in state capital Bhubaneswar will be upgraded into an inter-state bus terminal by April 2019.
The Bhubaneswar Development Authority (BDA) presented the concept design of the terminal to be built at a cost of Rs.180 crore, during a meeting chaired by chief minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday.
The upgraded terminal will have several modern facilities. They include Wi-Fi connectivity, fire fighting system, area wide real time parking information display system, CCTV surveillance etc.
It will have commercial office space, retail space, multi-level care parking and open public space.
Baramunda is a transport lifeline for thousands of commuters. More than one thousand buses are using the presdent terminal daily.
