Sir,
I am a Oriya from bangalore and I am a regular reader of your site. The recent news publiched on your portal about our popular CM is compelling me to pen a few words.
Its a pity that due to low population and therefore less number of MPs in indian parliament our mother land has always in the receiving end of the central developement project.
Though the people of orissa have been blamed by these North Indian people and their politicians for our current economic status it is not true at all.
For last 50 years untill the late dicision of union govt to liberalize the economy these North Indian politicians have been taking away a lions share of what aver monitary assistance the country was getting from( world bank and IMF…. ) in the form of loans.
Still today with the economic progress of the federation the the parliamentarians of this country are not least serious in granting fund for basic infrastructure developement and institutes of higher studies.
But the current decision of the Union Govt regarding its mining policy has indeed surpassed everything. Its a discriminatory and just an ex-pression of colonial mindset of these politicians who have made this dicision. But it is the duty of every oriya to safeguard their interest and stand in one voice with our CM.

Deepak,
