Bhubaneswar, Jan 27( Odisha.in ) Highhandedness of the management of Reliance Webworld in Bhuabneswar has left the reporters of almost all the elctronic media in wildnerness for past three days.
Because of some techinical snags the Webworlds in Saheed Nagar and Fortune Towers in the city, were not functioning since last Friday. Despite repeated requests by the media persons, the managment have sofar not taken any steps to rectify the mistakes.
Normally almost all the electronic media representatives at Bhubaneswar who include Times Now, CNN-IBN, India Tv, Sahara Samaya, Star News, ANI, India Live etc. use to send their news feed from the Sahid Nagar Web World between 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. On special occassions the Webwold was obliging the media persons beyond their normal operating hours.
The Saheed Nagar Webworld is managed by Biplab Patra, son of Orissa’s Minister for Science and Technology Surya Narayan Patra.
Though the reported ” snags ” have developed since Friday, sofar the managment have not been able to rectify such snags and make the Webworld functional, despite repeated requests and complaints by the media persons.
It is surprising that Reliance group which claims to be one of the highly technical and sophisticated group in communication have not been able to ensure normal functioning of the Webworlds for past three days and also are not in a position to say when it will become functional in the near future.
As a result of such callouness of the Reliance management as well the franchise holder, the electronic media persons in Bhubaneswar are facing hale of problems and are left with no alternative to rush to the Webworld in Cuttack to give their feed.
Reliance Webworld are the monopoly service providers in this sector.
It may recalled that the Reliance Webworld had become non functional during the visit of former President of India, Abdul Kalam and also Anil Ambani to the city last year.
