The Jagannath Temple Administration has put up a dynamic website www. jagannath.nic.in to facilitate the devotees to donate any amount they want and can see the grand Rath Yatra festival besides many more things relating to Lord Jagannath tradition, culture and lot of other information from tourism and pilgrimage point of view.
“No matter where you are just go to the portal and donate any amount online to the Lord of the Universe –Jagannath using your Credit Card”, said Suresh Mohapatra , the Chief Administrator, Shree Jagannath Temple , Puri..
Similarly if you have missed to see the Rath Yatra this year , the entire proceedings and rituals of the Lord can be available there in the unique website “, he said .
The proceedings of the Rath Yatra for the last five years since 2003 can also be tracked in the portal with four hours duration each year , he said adding, there was a provision of sending Greetings in the portal and listen devotional songs on Jagannath and other places of religious importance in Puri and around.
Biswa Bhushan Harichandan ,the Minister of Law , Industry and Rural Development, and Debasis Nayak, Minister of state for Information and Public Relations Sunday jointly inaugurated the website at a function Organised at the Information Center of Shri Jangannath Temple in front of Jayadev Bhawan here.
Harichandan inaugurated a large “Hundi”,- Donation Box being inatalled by the Temple administration at the Information Centre to facilitate the devotees to donate generously in the temple fund, instead of going to to Puri.
The Law minister also flagged off “Kalia Rath” – a Maruti van donated by one Janakar Sahoo to facilitate transportation of Tulasi and flowers meant for the Lords daily from the Information Center of Shri Jagannath Temple here on the occasion .
Among others, Minister Nayak , Rabindra Pratihari, member Temple Administration committee also spoke on the occasion. Addressing the function, the Law Minister Harichandan called for maintaining discipline in the Temple premises by the sevayatas and help devotees to perform puja peacefully.
He also announced that Hundi’s would be installed outside the states- At Orissa Bhawan Delhi, Utkal Bhawan , Kolkata and Orissa Bhawan , Mumbai shortly to facilitate the devotees to donate to the corpus fund of the Jagannath Temple.
