Bhubaneswar, 29th Nov (Odisha.in) A charter flight with affluent American Tourists will land in Biju Pattnaik air port on 5th December 2007.
The State is all set to witness first of its maiden foreign Tourist charter of such magnitude and importance , told Mr Debiprasad Mishra ,Minister Tourism & Excise .
Addressing the press here at Bhubaneswar Mr Mishra informed that the charter with 74 tourists and 15 crew members in the Boeing 757 that has been specially outfitted to seat just 74 travellers instead of usual 233 .
In Orissa the sightseeing includes visit to the ancient temples of Bhubaneswar, famous rock edicts of Ashoka at Dhauli , artistic Pipili appliqué village and famous world heritage site of the SUN Temple at Konark .
The group shall also witness an exclusive Dance Balle performed by the talented troupe of Orissa at the amphitheatre during sunset in Konark. Optional visit includes 64 Yogini Temple and Bell metal crafts at Hirapur village.
They will be accompanied by a team of distinguished exports who share insights and experiences of each upcoming destination prior to landing.
The success of this Charter will definitely give wider coverage of our State Internationally that will encourage other Charter Operators to promote Orissa with their programmes , Mr Mishra added .
