Keonjhar, Nov 30 (Odisha.in) Twelve hours Barbil Bandh called by Birsa Munda Adivasi Vikash Mancha (BMAVM) protesting attack on tribal in Assam passed peace fully on Thursday.
Tribal leaders led by Pradhan Debdan, Narayana Hembram Damadara Sinku and their supporters staged protest in various places of the toen.
BJP had also supported the Bandh. Almost all office, market, school were closed and transportation of iron ore both in road and rail were stopped. Work affected in industry and mining and other govt. offices due to this Bandh.
The protesters blocked the main road with burnt tyres and stones at different places. Market and many mines and industrial houses were found closed due to this protest. Police forces were deployed in different place to maintain law and order.
