Bhubaneswar, November 25 (Odisha.in) Though around Rs 1.75 crore has been spent for the sitting of Orissa Assembly since 19th to November 24, no business could be transacted due to demonstration by the opposition demanding discussion on the alleged police excess on farmers and teachers, compelling the Speaker to adjourn the House without transacting any
business.
The Ambedkar-Lohia Vichar Manch while expressing concern over the matter have decided to go on hunger strike before the State Assembly from Monday ( 26th November ) demanding a pro-farmer water policy and smooth conduct of the House.
According to Rabi Behera, General Secretary of the manch, the demonstrators would also submit a memorandum to the Governor to this effect.
