Bhubaneswar, November 16(Odisha.in) Thousands of people who were evacuated from hundreds of sea side villages from six coastal districts in Orissa Friday returned home as the very severe cyclonic storm “SIDR” crossed state coast and moved to Bangladesh.
The cyclonic strom is now centred over Bangladesh and 70 kilometers of adjoining Tripura and gradually weaken, meteorological office here said.
Under its influence rain and thundershower is likely to occur at isolated places over North Orissa. Sea condition will be rough to very rough. So fishermen are advised not to venture into the sea, the met office said.
Local Cautionary Signal number Three (LC-III) hosted Thursday has been lowered at all the Ports in Orissa.
