Jagatsinghpur, November 13 (Odisha.in) Administrations in all coastal districts have taken all precautionary measures to face in case a cyclone hit Orissa coast, official said.
The very severe cyclonic storm over south–east bay of Bengal formed Monday moved northerly direction and lay centred over Southeast and adjoining central Bay of Bengal, meteorological office at Bhubaneswar here said.
It is now located in the east about 850 km South South East of Paradeep. The system is likely to intensify further and move in a north-north-westerly direction, the office said.
Under the influence of the very severe cyclonic storm (SIDR), adverse weather conditions with isolated heavy rains and squally wind are likely to commence over Orissa coast from 15th morning, the office said.

Deputy collector (emergency) in Jagatsinghpur Rabindra Pattnaik said that the district administration has deployed senior officers in different block headquarters to monitor situation.
Control room is functioning round the clock and all staffs have not allowed leaving headquarters. Similarly multi cyclone shelters have kept in ready to give shelter for evacuated people, he said.
Meanwhile, district administration has given instruction to all panchyats, block officials and civil supply officers to stock food stuff in panchyat and block level, he said.
In Bhubaneswar state relief office said the state government has alerted all the district collectors of coastal Orissa to remain alert.
