Bargarh, August 31 (Odisha.in) The 12 hours bandh call given by lawyers in western Orissa Friday affected normal life, official said.
While most of the shops were closed the work at government offices were badly affected witnessing thin attendance. School and colleges were closed and movement of vehicles both private and government were almost nil, eye witness said.
Similarly train services were also affected at Sambalpur and Bargarh as agitators staged demonstration sitting on the rail line.
The band call was given by Central Action Committee of Western Orissa Bar Associations (WOBA) demanding a High Court bench in Western Orissa.
However students, political leaders irrespective of their party affiliations and local businessmen had joined them in the protest.
