Balasore, August 31 (Odisha.in) Police Friday arrested at least four persons for allegedly killing a man and three women for sorcery in Orissa’s Balasore district on Aug 26, official said.
The arrested are Anjan Singh, his brother Ranjan Singh, Narottam Singh and Suvendu Satapathy. They allegedly killed Somabari Singh, Tia Singh, Budhini Singh and her husband Soren alias Rabi Singh at Prata Pur village.
on Aug 14, Raju Singh, son of Siba Singh, a ward member in Pratapur village died of snakebite while sleeping.
The four persons all belong to Patra Pur suspected it as a handiwork of witches and killed the four persons 11th day of the death of Raju. They then threw the bodies and weapons used in the crime into the river.
However police has managed to recover three dead bodies.
