New Delhi, August 27 (Odisha.in) Orissa’s K.C.Jena who has been working as member Railway Board since August last year is likely to become the new chairman of the Railway Board, sources said.
He will be the first Oriya in this post.
Jena who belongs to Orissa joined the Indian Railway Traffic Service in 1971 and had education at Madras Christian College and Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
He has had training in Britain on Inter-Modal Traffic at the University College of Cardiff and on Management Information System in Sweden, Germany and USA.
He had also attended the Stern School of Business, New York for training in Management Essentials for High Potential Executive.
Prior to joining the Railway Board, he was General Manager, East Central Railway, Hajipur, General Manager, North Central Railway, Allahabad, Divisional Railway Manager, Vadodara, Chief Operations Manager, Western Railway, Additional General Manager, Central Railway.
He has also worked as Executive Director (Safety) and Executive Director (Coaching) in the Railway Board earlier.
