Bhubaneswar, August 27 (Odisha.in) Members of the families of about 150 deceased Government employees demonstrated before the State Assembly on Monday, demanding appointment of one member from each of the deceased families on government job.
Though the state government had formed a policy in 1990 to provide employment to one member of the Government employee who have died in service but the government is not doing it, Krushna Chandra Samantaray, Secretary of Rajya Mruta Karmachari Dustha Paribar Thaithan Samiti ( Home Department Branch ) told Odisha.in
Earlier the government was providing employments to one of the family members. However such appointments have been stopped since past few years in the plea of austerity measures.
Though the members of the association had met the Chief Minister several times and had apprised him of the plight of family members of the deceased Government employees, so far no action has been taken by him that has further worsen the problems of the family members, he said.
