Puri, August 15 (Odisha.in) Sand artist Sudarsan Patnaik has created a 60 feet long national tricolour in the beach of Puri, his home town in Orissa, on the eve of country’s 60th Independence Day Wednesday.
“I have used 60 tones of sand to make this. More than 20 students of the golden sand art institute which Patnaik runs) took about 6 hours to complete the sculpture” Patnaik told Odisha.in. Hundreds school children and tourists thronged to the beach to see his creation.
It was the first sand image the artist has created in India after his return from Germany where he won the Public prize for his sand Taj Mahal.
