Bhubaneswar, August 13 (Odisha.in) Fresh round of floods triggered by a low pressure in Bay of Bengal has killed at least three people over past one week in Orissa affecting millions of its residents, official said Monday.
The deaths were reported from Golamunda block in the western district of Kalahandi.
The latest floods-the second in this rainy season has badly hit the western districts of Kalahandi and southern district of Koraput and Rayagada.
The Junagarh town in Kalahandi has received 335 millimeters of rain in past 24 hours, an official of the state revenue control room said.
The situations are likely to worsen as the rains are continuing in the affected areas. More rains are also likely to occur in next 24 hours, he said.
