Bhubaneswar, August 10 (Odisha.in) Vasant Scribes Limited, a part of the 27 years old Hyderabad based Vasant group has opened a centre in Orissa capital Bhubaneswar to carry out medical transcription work, the company official said Friday.
Bhubaneswar centre opened two months ago is its fifth centre after one centre in Vijayanagaram and three in Hyderabad, company managing director G.K.B Chowdary told Odisha.in .
We opened this centre because large number of people from this state are well trained and go outside for work. We intend to provide them job here, he said.
The company which at present employs over 500 medical transcriptionists and proof readers in its existing centres has started its operation in June at the centre of the Software Technology Park of India in Fortune Towers at Bhubaneswar with 35 medical transcriptionists.
We intend to expand this facility to 300 professionals within next 18 months, he said. We have also applied for land to the state government to build our own facility, Chowdary said.
He claimed that his company has entered into partnership agreement with MedQuist Inc world’s largest medical Transcription Company.
Orissa has only three companies which do medical transcription work. However they work with near bout fifteen to 20 professionals. Vasant Scribes Limited is the first big company to do the medical transcription work in the state, assistant director of the Software Technology Park of India (STPI) Bhubaneswar Manas Panda said.
Vasant Scribes Limted was promoted during the year 1999 and it has established itself as a leading leader in the fields of Medical Transcription, Inventory Analysis, and Business Analytics.
The company has its own wholly subsidiary namely Vasant Scribes Inc at Milwaukee, Wisconsin in USA, he said.
