Bhubaneswar, August 9 (Odisha.in) Orissa government has appointed 158 doctors as assistant surgeons in state’s backward regions, official said Thursday.
Of the newly recruited doctors appointed Wednesday, 114 belong to general category, 25 from other backward classes, nine scheduled caste and eight scheduled tribe.
While some of them will work in impoverished districts of KBK (Kalahandi, Koraput and Bolangir) other will work in the backward districts of Boudh, Kandhamal, Gajapati, Keonjhar, Sundergarh and Mayurbhanj, a government press release said.
